These projects, described plainly: what was needed, what was built, what changed. This page is proof, not a pitch.
Buck Lake Lodges
Fishing & hunting outfitter — fishbucklake.com
Buck Lake Lodges' site was running on an aging Joomla installation that had become difficult to maintain and update. It needed moving to a more maintainable platform, along with several operational tools the old site didn't have.
What was built:
- A full migration from Joomla to WordPress, done SEO-safely — 63 redirects were preserved from the Joomla era so existing search rankings and inbound links weren't lost, and 22 orphaned pages were cleaned up.
- A rates and booking estimator with automatic currency conversion (USD base, converting to CAD and EUR), replacing hardcoded rate figures with a proper admin-managed settings system — Shannon and her team can update rates themselves, without a developer.
- A media gallery pulling from their existing photo library, organized by category (scenery, fishing, hunting, boats, lodge, and more) so their photo collection is actually browsable on the site.
- A contact form that had been silently failing to deliver inquiries since the site's original launch — found and fixed.
Shannon and her editor can now manage rates and content themselves for routine updates, the site's search visibility was protected through the migration rather than lost, and a broken lead-capture channel is working again.
Stouffville Pickleball Players
Club management system — pickleballstouffville.ca
The club needed a real management system for ladder rankings, event scheduling, and general administration — replacing what had been ad hoc, manual processes.
What was built:
- A ladder ranking and scheduling system with automated event management.
- A member dashboard showing rank and schedule at a glance.
- A custom photo booth feature with live background replacement for club events and socials.
- Passkey (WebAuthn) authentication — modern, passwordless login for members.
- Forensic-level data recovery: corrupted historical schedule and results data was rebuilt through a systematic, verifiable process, and validated against the original paper scoresheets.
- SMS notifications for scheduling changes.
Manual, error-prone ladder administration became automated and self-service for members. Login is secure and passwordless. And a real incident — corrupted ranking data — was fully recovered and validated, not just patched over.
Recipes
Recipe management platform — recipes.godin.com
What was needed was a proper platform for managing and organizing a large personal and family recipe collection — something beyond a folder of scattered documents and bookmarks.
What was built:
- A full recipe management platform, currently holding thousands of recipes for its users.
- Automatic dietary classification (vegan, vegetarian, gluten-free) using AI, applied across the entire existing collection.
- An allergen checker covering all 11 Health Canada-recognized major allergens, including a personal allergy/intolerance profile system. Users can scan or search packaged products, and the system checks the product's ingredients against their profile, flagging results as “Contains,” “May Contain,” or “Not Detected.”
- Multi-photo galleries per recipe, not just one photo.
- One-click Word document export of any recipe.
- Automatic serving-size estimation via AI, applied across the collection.
A scattered personal and family recipe collection became a structured, searchable platform — with real safety value added on top: instead of manually cross-checking ingredient labels against dietary restrictions or allergies every time, the system does it automatically. What started as “get my recipes organized” grew into a genuinely useful day-to-day tool for a household managing food allergies, not just a digital recipe box.
