Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern your use of the website godindev.com and any services provided by Godin London Incorporated ("we," "us," "our"), a business based in North York, Ontario, Canada. By using this site or engaging our services, you agree to these Terms.

1. Our Services

Godin London Incorporated provides:

  • Custom web development and hosting — bespoke website and application development, hosted on our infrastructure under an ongoing service agreement.
  • Legacy platform migration — migrating existing websites (e.g. from Drupal, Joomla, or other platforms) to WordPress, including cleanup, security remediation, and ongoing hosting.
  • Recipes — a recipe management software product, available under a yearly-renewing license (see Section 4 below).

Specific scope, deliverables, and pricing for custom client work are agreed separately with each client and are not governed solely by this general Terms page.

2. Use of This Website

You agree to use this site only for lawful purposes. You may not attempt to disrupt, reverse-engineer, or gain unauthorized access to this site or its underlying systems.

3. Contact Forms and Inquiries

Information you submit through any contact form on this site (including the footer contact form) is used only to respond to your inquiry and, where relevant, to follow up about our services. See the Privacy Policy below for details.

4. Recipes Software License

Recipes is licensed, not sold. Access is provided under a yearly-renewing serialized license:

  • Your license key is tied to a specific term (one year from purchase or last renewal).
  • The software checks license validity periodically and will cease to function if the license has expired and not been renewed.
  • You may not redistribute, resell, or sublicense the underlying codebase unless a separate written agreement explicitly grants that right.
  • Renewal pricing and terms will be communicated in advance of expiry where reasonably possible.
  • We reserve the right to revoke a license where these terms are violated.

A separate, plain-language license summary is provided at the time of purchase and takes precedence over this section for licensing specifics.

5. Other Tools and Software

From time to time we may make other tools available for licensed use — including, but not limited to, event management, photo gallery, and photo booth software. Unless a separate written agreement states otherwise, these tools are governed by the same licensing principles as Recipes (Section 4): licensed, not sold, tied to the terms communicated at the time of purchase or engagement, and not to be redistributed, resold, or sublicensed without our written permission.

6. Intellectual Property

All content on this site, and the codebases for Recipes and other licensed tools, remain the property of Godin London Incorporated unless otherwise agreed in writing. Custom client work delivered under a service agreement is governed by the terms of that specific agreement.

7. No Warranty

Services and software are provided "as is." While we take reasonable care in our work, we do not guarantee that any software or website will be uninterrupted or error-free.

8. Limitation of Liability

To the extent permitted by law, Godin London Incorporated is not liable for indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from use of this site, our software, or our services.

9. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein.

10. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. Continued use of the site or our services after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised Terms.
